The Government Degree College, Teliamura was established on 3rd August in 2012. This institution is located at Khasiamangal in Teliamura. The Govt. college stated its journey with some basic subjects like English, Bengali, History, Pol. Science, Education and Philosophy. In 2013 (the next year of its establishment) the college started Honours courses in Bengali and Political Science. At present, there are over seven hundred books in the library of the college.

B.C.C. and C.C.C. courses are also offered under the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) at the Government Degree College, Teliamura. Bachelor Degree programme has also been introduced at the study center of Distance Education (Tripura University Study Centre) at the Govt. Degree College in 2012. IGNOU Study Center will also be opened at the institution very shortly.
Library Hours: Monday to Friday - 11.00 am to 4.00 pm. The library remains closed on second Saturdays, Sundays every month and on public holidays and vacation time.
