Berhampore Netaji Subhas Open University - Baharampur NSOU Study Centre

Krishnath College, the liberal arts and sciences college in Baharampur or Berhampore in Murshidabad district has a Netaji Subhas Open University study centre that provides distance education to those students who cannot attend full time courses in colleges. The college is situated on the eastern bank of the river Bhagirathi in Behrampore (Berhampore), and was founded on the 18th November in 1853 by the Govt. of Bengal under East India Company. The British Government handed over the college to the Honourable Maharaja Manindra Chandra Nandi in 1897. Now, the college runs a NSOU study centre E-04 under the Netaji Subhas Open University for dropout students who cannot be offered classes in regular colleges.
